Winn Morton was born in Lancaster, was raised in Dallas, and had a 25 year career in New York as a stage and costume designer for Broadway, Off-Broadway, television, ice shows, and circuses. In 1977, Winn returned to Lancaster to restore his family home, the Wininiford Farmstead. He has put together Winniford Gold from the stories and letters of Ethel Winniford Morton, his mother.
